Product overview

Middle East Soil AK147 is an ultrafine loose pigment, 35 ml per jar, for dry or wet weathering work. Its powder form provides a matt appearance and permits the effect to be built gradually, making it suitable for selective dusting as well as broader texture work. It is listed for AFV, aircraft, civil, diorama, figure, military, naval, sci-fi, train and wargame subjects.

Apply it dry when you want to position and vary the loose powder before fixing.
Make a wet mixture using White Spirit or Pigment Fixer.
Secure a dry application afterwards with either of the same auxiliaries.
Compatible with acrylic and enamel texture products for combined effects.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
