Light Rust Wash gives you an enamel option for adding rust-toned definition to fantasy and sci-fi miniatures. Place it around crevices, recesses and contours, then refine how far it travels and how subtle it remains using a clean brush or a second one moistened with thinner. You can keep the wash local to a small detail or spread it through a broader textured area while it remains workable.
- The paint mixture is more concentrated than it would be in a filter.
- Other Wargame washes can be mixed into Light Rust to create a variation of your own.
- For dilution, use an enamel thinner; AK14214 is the matching option.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
