Product overview

A six-bottle 3rd Generation acrylic set from AK Interactive's Figure Series for Israeli Defence Forces figures, from past wars to the present day — AK's own framing. The panel prints two ladders: for the sand uniform, IDF Sand Uniform Shadows (Field Drab) under IDF Uniform Base (Canvas Tone) with IDF Uniform Lights (Ocher Khaki) on top; for the green uniform, IDF Uniform Base (Medium Green) with IDF Uniform Lights (Olive Green). Brown Black stands outside both ladders, called out on boots and webbing. AK notes the tones can be mixed to vary the shades of these uniforms. Six matt acrylics in 17 ml bottles.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
