Product overview

Grey Primer creates a neutral acrylic foundation before the main colour layers. Its self-levelling formula is intended for all types of surfaces and supports application with either an airbrush or a conventional brush. The primer is specified to provide strong adhesion, while the bottle identifies it as the current New Formula within AK’s 3rd-Generation acrylic range.

Supplied in a 100 ml fine-nozzle bottle.
Shake the contents thoroughly before application.
The coating dries quickly and may be sanded after 24 hours.
The formula is non-toxic.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
