AK8251 pairs grass tufts with stones for a late-autumn treatment of 1:35 dioramas and figure settings. A modeller might place the elements along a neglected roadside, between pieces of masonry or across exposed outdoor ground where the seasonal treatment should continue into the vegetation. Because the stones come on the sheet with the tufts, one placement can introduce both plant and rocky detail to the composition.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
