Product overview

The second painting set in AK Interactive's "Fortunate Sons" series covers German Wehrmacht soldiers of WWII for wargames. Ten 3rd Generation acrylics serve the uniforms, accessories and weapons of the German units that fought in the European theatre, selected, AK states, with the greatest possible historical rigour. An exclusive miniature is included: an infantryman of a Panzergrenadier division carrying a heavy machine gun, type MG34.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
