Deep Blue Wash gives blue and light-blue base colours deeper definition without abandoning the colour family. Let it settle into recesses and panel lines, then use a clean brush to limit its reach or a thinner-moistened brush to soften the result. It belongs to the Wargame Series for sci-fi and fantasy subjects, where blue shading can remain part of the overall palette.
- AK14214 provides the matching enamel thinner when you want to dilute the wash.
- On large surfaces, enamel avoids the rapid drying, edge marks and restricted flow associated with thinned acrylic paint.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
