AK Interactive British Army Colors North-West Europe 1944-45 is the later of AK's two North-West Europe boxes, covering 1944 until the end of the Second World War; for 1941 to 1944 you want the sibling set, AK11680. Its four 3rd Generation acrylics are the camouflage colours AK lists as most commonly used on British and Commonwealth vehicles in the theatre, distinguished by Washable White Paint for winter use alongside the late-war S.C.C. colours. The same colours were used by Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and other Commonwealth armies in this period.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
