Aircraft Engine Oil is a 35 ml enamel from AK's Air Series, mixed for oil effects on aircraft — where engine oil sits lighter in colour than the oil on ground vehicles. Use it straight from the bottle for fresh, wet-looking stains, or thin it with White Spirit for older, drier spills and leaks; heavily thinned, it reads as long-dried staining. It blends with AK's other enamel colours, and it also stands in for greasy spills like fuel or gasoline.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
