44216 — Needle Chucking Guide for Mobius TG Trigger Airbrush

Metal needle chuck with spring assembly. Restores precise trigger response and needle control.

Why This Part

Genuine Gaahleri part — exact fit for the Mobius TG trigger mechanism

Restores smooth trigger response — fixes sluggish return, spongy feel, or failure to close

Metal construction with spring — durable build designed for long service life and repeated needle changes

Key to precise control — this is the part that translates your trigger pull into needle movement

Easy to lose, smart to stock — the spring can escape during disassembly; having a spare avoids downtime

Product Description

The needle chucking guide is an internal mechanical component in the Gaahleri Mobius TG (trigger grip, Premium Series). It sits in the rear of the airbrush body and performs two critical jobs: gripping the needle securely so it moves with the trigger, and providing spring return so the needle snaps back to the closed position when you release.

The assembly consists of a hex-profiled metal body with a built-in seat for the needle and a return spring. It works in conjunction with the needle tension adjustment screw — together, they determine how your trigger feels and how precisely the needle responds to input.

When the chucking guide wears, gets damaged during servicing, or loses its spring, you'll notice the trigger becoming sluggish, the needle not returning to closed, or inconsistent paint shut-off even though the nozzle and needle are fine.

This is also the part most commonly affected by servicing accidents — the spring wants to escape during disassembly, and the guide itself can be damaged by careless handling. Having a spare on hand is a practical move for anyone who regularly services their Mobius TG.

What's in the Box

1 × Gaahleri Needle Chucking Guide with spring for Mobius TG.

Compatibility

✔ Fits: Gaahleri Mobius TG (trigger grip, Premium Series)

✘ Does NOT fit: Mobius 02/03/SP (non-trigger versions), GHAD-68, GHAD-39, GHAC-Swallowtail, GHAC-98D, or Ace/Advanced Series

⚠ Important: The Ace/Advanced chucking guide (SKU 40591) is not compatible with Mobius TG, and vice versa. Gaahleri explicitly warns against mixing these parts.

Signs You Need a New Chucking Guide

Trigger doesn't spring back — the needle stays forward after you release, failing to close off paint flow

Spongy or inconsistent trigger feel — the connection between trigger pull and needle movement feels vague or delayed

Needle won't stay seated — the chuck no longer grips the needle firmly, causing it to slip under spray pressure

Lost spring during servicing — the return spring can escape when disassembling the rear body; without it, the trigger mechanism won't function

Pro Tips

Mind the spring on disassembly. When unscrewing the rear section, the needle chuck and spring will try to come out. Work over a clean, flat surface with good lighting so nothing escapes.

Check the tension screw first. Before replacing the chucking guide, try adjusting the small needle tension screw in the rear body. A loose screw can mimic the symptoms of a worn guide.

Reassemble carefully. Ensure the hex-profile body seats correctly in the rear housing before tightening. Misalignment will cause binding and an uneven trigger feel.

Worth Knowing

This part fits the Mobius TG only. It is not compatible with non-trigger Mobius models (02/03/SP), Ace, Advanced, or Swallowtail series — and the Ace/Advanced guide (40591) will not work here either.

Replacing the chucking guide requires disassembling the rear section of the airbrush. If you're not comfortable with small internal components, take care or seek advice.

A new chucking guide won't fix problems caused by a bent needle, worn nozzle, damaged packing, or dirty paint channels. Diagnose the root cause before ordering parts.
