VALST-AIR004 is an airbrush stencil for reproducing WWII USAAC star-in-circle aircraft insignia. Nine markings are arranged in a 3 × 3 grid, with graduated sizes covering 1/32, 1/48 and 1/72 scale subjects. Unlike an access-panel stencil, this sheet is dedicated to national markings. The translucent, flexible 125 × 125 mm plastic can be positioned against model surfaces, washed after use and reused.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.

How do I keep tools in good condition?

Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
