Product overview

Vallejo Plastic Putty is a modelling compound for filling gaps, seams and imperfections on scale models, miniatures and dioramas. It can be sanded smooth when dry and accepts acrylic and enamel paints. The precision eyedropper bottle allows controlled application to fine joints and surface defects.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
