Vallejo Metal Color Duraluminium 77.702 is a light, warm metallic shade for reproducing duraluminium alloy on unpainted aircraft skins, cowlings and structural panels. It sits between the neutral Aluminium colour and the range's deeper steel shades. The 32 ml water-based formula contains aluminium pigments and is intended primarily for airbrushing, although brush application is also supported. It dries quickly and forms a self-levelling metallic layer.
- Apply directly by airbrush or use with a brush.
- Recommended air pressure: 15–20 PSI.
- Allow the painted surface to dry for 12 hours before masking.
- Supplied in a hinged-cap eyedropper bottle.
- A stainless steel stirring ball is included.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
