Vallejo Wild Tuft Dry Green SC401 contains 35 peelable grass tufts at 2mm height in the Small size tier. The muted olive-straw Dry Green colour suits parched grassland, sun-bleached verges and terrain set in warm or arid climates where lush greens would look out of place. Each tuft lifts from the backing sheet and sticks on contact, ready to be positioned around rocks, dusty paths or bare ground.
- The Dry Green tone pairs well with sandy or earth-coloured bases and dry scatter materials.
- PVA glue can be added underneath for a permanent bond on textured surfaces.
- Suitable for miniature figures, wargame bases, dioramas and terrain boards.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?
That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.
Are tufts self-adhesive?
Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.
How do I apply static grass?
Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
