Tamiya 74124 Craft Scissors for Plastic and Soft Metal are a 170 mm pair of stainless steel scissors that cut a wider range of sheet materials than a standard hobby scissors. The published cutting capacities cover Pla-Plate up to 1.2 mm, polycarbonate up to 1 mm, aluminium foil up to 0.5 mm, and wood or bamboo up to 2 mm. They also handle leather, rubber and brass sheet. Navy blue soft-grip handles support longer cutting sessions across scratchbuilding and conversion work.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
How do I keep tools in good condition?
