Raphaël's Soap for Brushes is a honey-based bar from Brittany, made in France for Max Sauer, the company behind Raphaël brushes, and sold as a 100 g block with the Raphaël name moulded into its face. The label lists a classic soap base of sodium palmate and sodium palm kernelate with water and glycerin, plus Breton honey and a fragrance, so it is a plain solid soap rather than a solvent cleaner. The bar carries the ACMI AP seal, which certifies it as conforming to ASTM D-4236, the American labelling standard for art materials.
