GSW Moldable Plastic 100g is a reusable white material supplied as heat-softened beads for crafts, cosplay parts, prototypes and small repairs. The pack marks 60 °C / 140 °F, while GSW advises heating water to about 60–65 °C (140–150 °F). Leave the beads in the water for 1–2 minutes, lift them with tweezers, then knead and press the softened mass before it cools. The plastic hardens again without chemical change and can be reheated for adjustment. It resists paint, so airbrushing over an acrylic primer gives the best chance of adhesion, although paint may still scratch where finished parts rub.
- The beads may also be spread in a tray and softened gradually with a heat gun when direct placement is useful.
- Once cool, the rigid piece can be cut and sanded to refine edges or create sharper forms.
- Press the softened material into a mould or around a simple object to reproduce a shape.

How does reusable heat-softened plastic work?
This material softens when heated, can be shaped while pliable and becomes rigid again as it cools. The cycle is reversible, so an unsuitable part can usually be reheated and reshaped. What is the safest way to soften thermoplastic material?
Hot water is often easier to control than direct heat because it warms the material more evenly and reduces the chance of scorching one area. What can a finished thermoplastic part be used for?
