Product overview

Iwata's N5 fluid nozzle for the Neo BCN siphon-feed airbrush arrives with its o-ring fitted, so there is no tiny seal to seat by hand. N5 is the BCN's 0.5mm head, and every part of that head carries the same N5 marking, so match this nozzle with N5 parts only. Leave a nozzle in the body until it is damaged, keep the airbrush clean so it cannot clog, and turn it with an Iwata Nozzle Wrench to stay clear of cross-threading and overtightening. Combined with the N5 needle and a matching N5 nozzle cap, it also switches a Neo CN over to the 0.5mm head.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?

Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
