Product overview
Green Stuff World Flexi Mold 500 ml is a pourable mould-making material that is melted rather than mixed. Heat it in a microwave-safe container using 10-15-second bursts, stirring and checking between intervals, or warm it in a bain-marie; continuous microwave heating can burn the material. Pour it over the prepared master and let it cool into a flexible mould. Errors are correctable because the material can be remelted and reused. It is certified for food contact, including chocolate and fondant, but it is partially water-soluble, so water-based casting mixtures require a release agent inside the mould.
A small mould of about 300 ml solidifies in roughly 2 hours at room temperature; larger or thicker pours take longer.
Green Stuff World states that careful heating, filtering out debris and correct storage can allow more than 35 remelting cycles.
Do not heat the material past the maximum he states, as overheating shortens its useful life and can damage the mould.
Using sculptor vaseline as the release agent protects the mould from water-based mixes, but the treated material must no longer be used for culinary work.
Clean away loose debris with a cool damp cloth, or remelt and filter the material once particles have become embedded.
The jar is lemon scented, which is worth knowing if it is being kept for confectionery moulds.

Notes · Q & A
Which mould-making material should I choose?+
Heat-softened bars suit quick press moulds and simple parts; hand-mixed silicone suits fast detailed impressions; remeltable pour materials suit larger one- or two-part forms. Choose according to the master's undercuts, mould size, casting material, available working window and whether the mould must be reshaped for later jobs.
Can a press mould reproduce deep undercuts?+
A one-sided press mould works best where the master and casting have a clear removal path. Deep undercuts, enclosed shapes and detail running around the whole object can trap the part or tear the cast, so they usually need a flexible two-part mould with a planned parting line.
What can I cast, and when is a release agent needed?+
Compatibility depends on both the mould material and what is poured or pressed into it. Check the maker's instructions for heat, moisture and cure inhibition; use a suitable release agent when the materials may bond, when a water-based mixture can affect the mould, or between the halves of a two-part mould.
How many times can a reusable mould be used?+
There is no universal casting count. Service life depends on the mould material, undercuts, casting heat, cleaning, contamination and how gently parts are removed; heat-softened or remeltable materials may be formed into new moulds, while cured flexible moulds gradually wear or tear.
