Product overview

Swamp XL fills the height gap between the regular 6 mm tufts and the taller 12 mm XL format. It is made for reeds rising from water, vegetation across marshy ground and long grass beneath heavily shaded canopies. The taller profile gives those settings a more pronounced layer of growth while remaining shorter than the largest tuft format on the shelf.

Green tips transition into darker brownish bases.
Tufts peel away from the sheet individually and are ready to use.
They are intended for scale models, hobby figures and scenic dioramas.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
