Alien Fern keeps a fern's outline and moves the colour into science fiction, so a base gains plant structure a viewer recognises instantly without the result looking like Earth. Inside the blister, a single sheet carries every leaf group, cut and coloured in advance. Free a group from the sheet and glue it to a base, to scenic terrain or into a diorama.

The sheet holds 38 leaf groups.
There are no flowers — the whole silhouette comes from long pinnate fronds.
In wet habitats a symbiosis with blue algae pulls the leaves towards blue and makes them highly poisonous.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
