Product overview

You get one oval base in the blister, and it is the largest Alien Infestation base we sell. At this width the surface is bigger than what stands on it: a model takes up part of the top, not most of it. Alien Infestation is a ship interior that something else has been through — slippery floors under oozing goo, wires twisted and broken, and clutches of eggs. Small unpredictable creatures move among them, and of the old crew only remains are left.

  • The oval measures 170 mm across.
  • Battle Ready Bases is the range it belongs to, and everything in that range is sold already painted, the finishing done by hand.
  • Underneath, the slots take a magnet no wider than 6 mm and no thicker than 1 mm; the blister has none in it.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
