The AT-FBBK is DSPIAE's brush stand in black, made for the AT-FB brush series. It is CNC machined and folded, and the brush hangs in it point down with the tip suspended, so the hairs never rest on the bench. Below the tip sits a small well that DSPIAE calls a moisture pool: it catches drips and keeps the tip moist, so water-based paint dries more slowly while the brush waits.

Notes · Q & A
Why use a brush with interchangeable tips?+
When the point wears out you swap the head and keep the handle, so the grip and balance you are used to stay the same. One handle can also carry several sizes. Check which tip series fits your handle before you buy spares.
How do I keep a fine brush tip pointed?+
Rinse it straight after use in the cleaner that suits your paint, never let paint dry in the hairs near the metal, and reshape the point before it dries. Store it point up or hanging, so the hairs are never bent.
Are synthetic (nylon) tips good for miniature painting?+
Yes. Synthetic hairs hold a sharp point well and suit water-based acrylics. They carry less paint than natural hair, so load lightly and often. Replace a tip once the point splits or curls rather than fighting it.
What is a brush stand with a small well for?+
It holds the brush with the tip clear of the bench between strokes, and the well under the tip keeps the air around it moist, which slows water-based paint drying in the hairs. Rinse the well after each session.
