Product overview

The AT-CJ is DSPIAE's multi-angle cutting station for plastic sheet and rod. A hinged arm brings a carbon steel razor blade down onto a gridded mat, between two sector-shaped baffle plates mirrored either side of the blade. Set a plate between 45° and 90°, slide the length stop to 2–58 mm, and every strip comes off the same. It takes sheet up to 1 mm thick and rod up to 3 mm across; cutting metal may break the blade.

  • 45° to 90° angles; 2–58 mm length (printed lines read about 2 mm long)
  • 38 mm cutting width; blade imported from Germany, fitted
  • Hex wrenches 3.0 for handle damping and 2.5 for the blade
  • Spare blade CJB-01 and mat CJ-M01 sold separately
  • Aluminium base, 178 × 150 × 45 mm, 487 g, four anti-skid pads
  • Not for children under 14

Notes · Q & A

What is an angle cutting station for?

It cuts plastic strip, sheet and rod to a set angle and length, again and again. With the angle guide and length stop locked, every piece comes out the same, which is what brick courses, armour plates, frames and other repeated parts need.

What materials can I cut with it?

Styrene sheet, strip and rod and similar soft plastics, within the thickness the maker gives for your model. Do not cut metal, brass or stock thicker than the stated limit: it can chip or break the blade. The product description lists the limits.

How do I get repeatable lengths?

Set the length stop, make one test cut and measure it with calipers before cutting the batch, because printed scales can read slightly off the real cut. Push each piece firmly against the stop and the angle guide before the blade comes down.

When should I replace the blade?

When cuts start to crush or whiten the plastic, leave a burr or need extra force. A dull blade pushes the stock out of line, so accuracy goes first. Change it with the arm held down and keep your fingers clear of the edge.
