AK Interactive German Dunkelgelb Modulation Set brings together four 3rd Generation acrylics for finishing German vehicles painted in Dunkelgelb (Dark Yellow). This is a four-step modulation ramp rather than a camouflage palette: a single colour progression from shadow to highlight for one base finish, used to build visual volume and subtle tonal transitions across a vehicle's surfaces. AK recommends working through all four colours rather than skipping steps, and the paints can be mixed with each other for further tonal variation useful on larger areas or larger models.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
