Product overview
Four 3rd Generation acrylic colours most commonly used for the cockpits and interior surfaces of Imperial Japanese Army Air Force aircraft throughout World War II. Three of the four also appear in the eight-bottle IJAAF set (AK11735); the fourth, IJN/IJA Aotake — a colour AK names for both the Navy and the Army — is found only in this box.
IJN/IJA Aotake is the reason to own this box alongside the eight-bottle set — AK's own "IJN/IJA" naming marks the colour as shared between the Navy and the Army
Matt finish; acrylic colours for brush, and for airbrush dilute with water or AK11500 thinner
The box carries AK's printed "Scale Reduction Factor" mark, as on the rest of the 3GEN AIR range
Made by AK Interactive S.L. in Logroño, Spain

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
