AK Interactive WWI French AFV Colors contains six 3GEN acrylic paints which AK describes as the six colours essential for painting tanks and artillery pieces of the French Army during the Great War. The set covers the multicolour disruptive schemes carried by vehicles such as the Renault FT, the Schneider and the St Chamond. It is intended for armour modellers working on French subjects of the period, or on equipment finished in related French camouflage patterns.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
