Four matt acrylics indispensable for painting models of US aircraft finished in the so-called Euro I camouflage schemes used in the 1980s: the A-10 Thunderbolt II, F-4 Phantom II, F-105 Thunderchief and some F-16 Falcons of the USAF, and the A-7D Corsair II of the Air National Guard (ANG). It is the 1980s successor to the South East Asia scheme covered by AK11748, with which it shares two bottles.
- Set contains (4 × 17 ml): AK11346 Forest Green FS 34079, AK11342 Dark Green FS 34102, AK11873 Dull Dark Green FS 34092, AK11024 Ash Grey FS 36081
- All four colours sit inside AK11747 US Air Force & ANG Aircraft Colors 1960s-1980s: between them, this box and AK11748 account for six of the master box's eight jars, the remaining two being AK11867 ADC Grey FS 16473 and AK11881 Medium Gunship Grey FS 36118
- Shares AK11346 Forest Green FS 34079 and AK11342 Dark Green FS 34102 with AK11748 — the two schemes appeared on several of the same airframes, the F-4 Phantom II and F-105 Thunderchief among them
- Matt finish; acrylic colours for brush, and for airbrush dilute with water or AK11500 thinner
- The box carries AK's printed "Scale Reduction Factor" mark, as on the rest of the 3GEN AIR range

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
