AK Interactive Unfinished German Vehicles Weathering Set is designed for vehicles depicted during assembly, before the red-brown German primer received a final camouflage coat. It combines RAL 8012 Rotbraun with products for defining shapes, reproducing workshop and factory dust, and adding oxide deposits to unpainted plates. It is a mixed-media set: three of the four products are enamels and one is a 3rd Generation acrylic.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
