AK Interactive Tracks & Wheels is an acrylic paint selection for weathered tracks and wheels on military vehicles. Black represents newer tyres, while Rubber/Tires provides a worn rubber tone. Rusty Tracks is intended for the fresh oxidation seen on the tracks of an abandoned vehicle, and Dark Tracks represents operational track surfaces. AK includes two further colours, Dust Color and Dry Light Mud Color, specifically for dry-brush and airbrush dirt effects.

Set contains (6 × 17 ml): AK11029 Black, AK11027 Rubber/Tires (Rubber Black), AK11108 Rusty Tracks (Hull Red), AK11111 Dark Tracks (Burnt Umber), AK11008 Dust Color (Grimy Grey), AK11058 Dry Light Mud Color (Decomposed Flesh)

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
