AK Interactive Real Colors WWII IJN Aircraft Colors contains four lacquer paints representing commonly used exterior finishes on Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft during the Second World War. The selection combines two J3 grey variants with D1 and D2 green-black upper-surface colours, giving a focused palette for carrier- and land-based IJN aircraft.

  • Set contains (4 × 17 ml): RC952 IJN J3 Hai-iro (Grey), RC953 IJN J3 SP (Amber Grey), RC954 IJN D1 Deep Green Black, RC955 IJN D2 Green Black
  • Lacquer-based Real Colors with a soft matt finish, ready for weathering
  • Two J3 greys plus D1 and D2 green-black upper-surface colours

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
