AK Interactive Real Colors Modern Russian AFV Colors contains four lacquer paints representing colours commonly applied to contemporary Russian Army vehicles and military equipment used by several post-Soviet armed forces. Russian Modern Green provides the base tone, supported by Russian Greyish Yellow, Russian Grey Green and Camouflage Black for disruptive patterns. The selection is intended for modern tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armoured personnel carriers and related Russian or post-Soviet subjects.

  • Set contains (4 × 17 ml): RC877 Russian Modern Green, RC878 Russian Greyish Yellow, RC879 Russian Grey Green, RC888 Camouflage Black (NATO Black)
  • Lacquer-based Real Colors with a soft matt finish, ready for weathering
  • A modern green base with grey-yellow, grey-green and black camouflage colours
  • Formulated for airbrush application; thin with RC701 or RC702 (or another lacquer-based thinner)

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
