AK Interactive Real Colors German Army AFV Colors 1943-1945 contains three lacquer paints for German Army vehicles and equipment used from spring 1943 until the end of the Second World War. The set combines the Dunkelgelb base colour with Olivgrün and Rotbraun for the widely used three-colour camouflage system. It provides the core exterior palette for modellers working on late-war German armour and related military vehicles.

  • Set contains (3 × 17 ml): RC852 Olivgrün / Olive Green RAL 6003, RC859 Dunkelgelb / Dark Yellow RAL 7028, RC864 Rotbraun / Red Brown RAL 8017
  • Lacquer-based Real Colors with a soft matt finish, ready for weathering
  • Covers the three basic German Army camouflage colours used from spring 1943 onwards
  • Formulated for airbrush application; thin with RC701 or RC702 (or another lacquer-based thinner)

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
