Product overview
QuickGen is AK's gel-based acrylic range for one-coat contrast painting and speed painting of miniatures. Prime in white, then apply a single layer; the translucent colour settles around sculpted detail to establish base colour, shadows and highlights with fewer separate stages. These themed sets group 18 ml bottles around WWII uniforms, fantasy subjects, army palettes, scenery and metallic finishes. Set sizes vary from three- and four-colour selections to six metallics and the eight-paint Quick Starter package.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
