AK Interactive Painting Handle AK9563
A handheld grip for holding miniatures while you paint them. Your model's base slots into the adjustable jaw mechanism at the top, and you hold the ergonomic bottle-shaped handle instead of the model — keeping your fingers away from wet paint, reducing hand fatigue, and giving you full rotational access from every angle.
The jaw system accepts round bases (up to Ø32 mm) and square/rectangular bases (down to 20×20 mm) — covering the vast majority of infantry, characters, and small elite models across Warhammer, AoS, D&D, Infinity, Bolt Action, and other popular systems.
If you've been painting minis by holding the base rim between your fingers, or balancing them on a cork — this is the proper tool for the job.
🖌️ Stop Touching Wet Paint — No more accidental finger smudges on highlights, no more rubbing off half-dry paint from the base rim. Your work stays intact.
🤲 Ergonomic Bottle-Shape Grip — The flared body fits naturally in your hand during long painting sessions. The wider barrel spreads the load, reducing the finger cramps that come from gripping a tiny base rim for hours.
🔄 Full Rotational Access — Spin the model freely to reach every angle without putting it down. Under the cloak, behind the shield, underneath the arm — all accessible with a twist of the wrist.
📐 Adjustable Jaw — Multiple Base Shapes — The top mechanism adapts to hold round bases (up to Ø32 mm) and square/rectangular bases (20×20 mm and similar). One handle, multiple base formats.
⚡ Batch Painting Efficiency — Buy a few handles and mount your whole unit at once. Paint one, set aside to dry, grab the next. No waiting, no wasted time re-mounting.
| Base Size | Shape | Typical Models |
| 20 × 20 mm | Square | Classic Warhammer Fantasy rank-and-file, historicals |
| 25 mm | Round / Square | Standard 28 mm infantry, classic WH40K bases |
| 28.5 mm | Round | Necromunda, newer GW infantry |
| 32 mm | Round | Modern WH40K/AoS infantry standard |
| Up to 40 mm | Round / Oval | Characters, terminators, small elites |
👉 Blu-Tack for odd shapes. A small blob of poster putty on the jaw platform lets you mount bases that don't fit the standard jaw slots — irregular scenic bases, sub-assemblies, or models temporarily without bases.
👉 Buy multiple for batch painting. Mount your entire squad before you start, then cycle through them assembly-line style. Three or four handles turns a 10-model squad from a chore into a smooth workflow.
👉 Use for varnishing too. Hold the model on the handle while you spray varnish — rotate for even coverage without ever touching the model.
👉 Relax your grip. The ergonomic shape does the work. A light hold reduces fatigue and gives steadier brush control for fine details.

⚠ Heavy metal miniatures may feel top-heavy. Works best with plastic and resin models, which make up the vast majority of modern miniatures.
⚠ This is a handheld grip, not a freestanding holder. It won't stand upright on a desk on its own. For a freestanding solution, see the AK9565 Handle Support.
