AK Interactive NATO Colors Set contains the three standard 3GEN acrylic colours used on military vehicles and equipment of most NATO member states from the second half of the 1980s. The compact box provides the complete Green, Brown and Black three-colour scheme without the additional French-specific paints found in AK11661. It is the focused option for modellers who only need the standard NATO camouflage trio.

  • Set contains (3 × 17 ml): AK11358 NATO Green, AK11359 NATO Brown, AK11360 NATO Black
  • The same three colours are included in the larger Modern French Army Colors set (AK11661)
  • All three colours are matt and non-metallic
  • Acrylic colours for brush; for airbrush, dilute with water or AK11500 thinner

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
