A six-bottle 3rd Generation acrylic set from AK Interactive's Figure Series for modern woodland uniforms from countries around the world — AK's own description. There is no ladder here: the back panel names six camouflage patterns and gives each its own colour callouts — British DPM Woodland, German Flecktarn, Spanish pixelated forest, US Multicam Woodland, China pixelated and Russian Army field dress — all built from the same six greens, tans and browns. AK says the colours can be mixed for different worn tones. Six matt acrylics in 17 ml bottles, with the panel painted by Eduardo Fernández.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
