Medium Rust is a dry pigment for AFV and military weathering. Brush the ultrafine powder directly onto the model when you want a matt, controllable dusting, or mix it into a wet application when that better suits the job. Because powder pigments have low adhesion, fix the finished layer if it needs to stay in place.
Make a wet mix with AK011 White Spirit; AK048 Pigment Fixer is the alternative.
Either auxiliary can also hold a dry layer in place afterwards.
Blend Medium Rust with other dry pigments from the same range.
The black screw-cap jar contains 35 ml.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
