AK Interactive's High Pigmentation Set is built around COLOR PUNCH, the range extending the 3GEN acrylic line with what AK describes as vibrant and energetic, highly pigmented colours. Ten of the fourteen bottles are the new COLOR PUNCH references, formulated, in AK's words, for nuances in shades and for much more vivid and intense base and mid-tones. The remaining four are intense colours drawn from the classic 3GEN range.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
