Product overview
Blood Scarlet is a 30 ml acrylic ink from AK's "The Inks — Soul of Color" range, a bright, saturated scarlet aimed at figure painters. Its high-quality pigments give a glossy, vivid, saturated colour, and because the ink is semi-transparent with very high lightfastness it can be layered over a base coat without hiding it. Lay it on by brush or through an airbrush, and use it as a filter, a wash or a translucent glaze over the colours beneath.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
