Product overview

The British 8th Army grew out of the Western Desert Force in 1941, an army raised from every corner of the Commonwealth, fighting the Italians and then Rommel's Afrika Korps back and forth across North Africa, through Tobruk, Beda Fomm and El Alamein, and on into Tunisia and Italy. This Bolt Action box builds 30 of its infantry in hard plastic, dressed in khaki drill for the desert. The frames carry Lee Enfield rifles, Thompson SMGs, Bren guns, a Boys anti-tank rifle, Webley pistols and a 2-inch mortar, with parts for command figures, and the box marks the set for the early and middle war.

  • 30 hard plastic 28mm figures
  • Rifles, Thompsons, Brens, Webleys
  • Boys anti-tank rifle and 2-inch mortar
  • Plastic bases and construction leaflet
  • Unassembled and unpainted
