Vallejo Pigment FX Soot & Ashes Set contains four 35 ml pots of dry, unbound pigment for soot and ash effects on models and dioramas. Vallejo describes the range as originating from iron oxides and natural earths. The powders can be gently rubbed onto the surface dry with a brush, placed and then fixed with a few drops of Airbrush Thinner, or mixed with the thinner to adjust density. Pigment Binder is Vallejo's stated route for adding volume, creating accumulations and blending transitions between references.
