Product overview
Vallejo Metal Color Gold provides a warm metallic finish for decorative trim, insignia, brass fittings and other gold-toned details. Made with aluminium pigments, it combines strong reflectivity with a water-based formula designed primarily for airbrush application. The paint dries quickly and settles into a smooth, self-levelling layer, helping maintain an even metallic appearance across larger surfaces. It can also be brushed onto smaller details and diluted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver when required.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
