Larger 8 mm paint agitators in the same 316L stainless steel, built for pots and jars with wider openings where a smaller ball would rattle without reaching the settled pigment at the bottom. They suit Citadel pots, Tamiya jars and large-format paint bottles. The molybdenum content in 316L protects against corrosion from the acids and solvents found in hobby paints, so the ball will not degrade and contaminate your paint over months of storage. Because steel outweighs glass by a wide margin, each shake drives the ball harder into the settled layer.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.

How do I keep tools in good condition?

Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
