Rosemary & Co's R0/R1/R2 Pocket series puts genuine Kolinsky sable into a reversible travel handle. The cap screws onto the back to become a full-length handle (185 mm open, roughly 105 mm closed), and the pointed round shape is the heart of the family.
The Kolinsky hair gives you the snap and flow that synthetic fibres can't quite match: a point that stays sharp stroke after stroke, a belly that holds a generous load of pigment, and a spring that returns to shape every time. These are pocket brushes that perform like their full-size equivalents.
Available in sizes 4, 6 and 8 — covering fine detail through to mid-size washes. Each brush is sold individually.
What makes this brush special
Pure Kolinsky sable with a fine, naturally tapered point. The reversible pocket handle closes to about 105 mm for safe transport and opens to 185 mm for comfortable painting. The hair has the characteristic snap and spring of top-grade Kolinsky — it holds a generous wash, releases colour evenly, and returns to a sharp point stroke after stroke.

- The visible length of the brush hairs, measured from the ferrule to the tip.
- Belly Diameter
- The widest point of the brush head. On round brushes, this is the widest part of the belly.
- Total Length
- The full measurement from the tip of the brush to the end of the handle.
How to care for your brush
Rinse in clean water after each session, reshape the point and let the brush dry with the cap off. Only screw the cap on for transport — storing a damp brush inside the closed cap can soften Kolinsky hair over time. Never leave standing in a water pot.
