Product overview

This N3 fluid nozzle belongs to the TRN1, the pistol-trigger airbrush of the Neo for Iwata range, and it comes with the o-ring in place. Paint leaves the airbrush through this part, so a split, worn or bent nozzle shows straight away in the spray, and the TRN1's N3 head is rated at 0.3 mm. The Neo CN's head carries the N3 name as well, but Iwata lists a separate nozzle for it, IWN-0801, while this one appears on the TRN1 parts list. On that list it sits alongside the N3 nozzle cap IWN-1403 and the head base IWN-1353, the other two pieces at the front of the TRN1.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?
