The Iwata Airbrush Cleaning Kit holds the same tools Iwata's technicians use to clean airbrushes and restore them to perfect order, in an Iwata case with illustrated step-by-step instructions for any style of airbrush. Medea Airbrush Cleaner is a ready-to-use concentrate, a few dabs of Medea Thread Sealer keep the nozzle, head and air cap threads airtight, and a drop of Iwata Premium Airbrush Lubricant keeps the parts moving. Extra small brushes reach the tightest openings, a stiff brush cleans the cup, and the pipe cleaners have non-shedding fibres. The Iwata Nozzle Wrench takes the nozzle out without damage, and the LED magnifier works at 30x and 60x. A refill pack is sold separately.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?
0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.
Do I need a compressor with a tank?
A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.
How do I keep an airbrush working well?
Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
