The Green Stuff World polymer clay machine works like a pasta roller: clamp it to the table, turn the crank and the clay comes out as an even sheet. Its 14 cm stainless steel rollers set to six thicknesses from 0.5 to 2.5 mm. Passing clay through again and again conditions it, softening stiff blocks and pushing out air, and stacking two colours before rolling blends them into smooth gradients. Start on the widest setting and work down, and fold the sheet if it cracks. To clean it, run scrap clay through at the widest gap and wipe the rollers with a soft cloth; avoid metal tools that could scratch them.

Notes · Q & A
What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?+
That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.
Are tufts self-adhesive?+
Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.
How do I apply static grass?+
Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
