Product overview

Fluor Martian Texture Paint Set 11289 is intended for alien ground, energy-scarred soil and other unnatural surfaces on miniature bases and dioramas. All four colours are fluorescent, while the thick consistency allows colour and raised texture to be applied together. The pastes can be spread with a brush or sculpting spatula and built into layers for more pronounced relief. Fluor Green is the only included colour that also glows in the dark.

Contains Fluor Purple 3712, Fluor Blue 3713, Fluor Red 3714 and Fluor Green 3715.
Drying takes 5–30 minutes, depending on application thickness.
Adheres to plastic, resin and wood.
Water-soluble; tools can be cleaned with water.

Notes · Q & A

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
