Green Stuff World Thick Basing Cork Grit supplies 200 ml of chunky cork fragments for rocks, rubble and ballast on miniature bases and dioramas. The pieces are noticeably larger than those in the Fine grade, so they suit broader scales or work as scattered boulders over a finer ground layer. Porous and lightweight, the cork soaks up glue and paint readily and can be blended into varnish or adhesive for a rough-textured finish.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
